Baileys Snow Ice Cream
Today is a snow day so I experimented a little with my kids snow ice cream recipe. I wanted an adult version. One look in my fridge I realized, I have Baileys. I thought it would be the perfect fit and it did not disappoint! The perfect pick me up for a snow day.
To make this recipe you must work fast. The range in amount of snow will depend on the texture. If it’s the light and fluffy stuff like we had today, you will need a full 6 cups. If it’s wet and heavy you will probably only need four! I hope this makes being snowed in a little more bearable!
Baileys Snow Ice Cream
Serves 2
- 1/4 milk or whipping cream
- 1/5 Baileys Liquor
- 3 tbs granulated sugar
- 1tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 4-6 cups of fresh snow
Mix the milk, Baileys, sugar, vanilla and salt in large mixing bowl until the sugar is dissolved. Run outside, grab the snow you need. Get all your serving bowls ready because this stuff starts melting fast. Dump the snow into the milk mix and combine until it’s a wet snow texture. Serve and top with chocolate sauce, or chocolate shavings(or like me chocolate chips- it’s what I had on hand). Enjoy immediately!
